Who We Are

SGS rowing is a 501-C3 organization with the goal of developing youth rowing and athletic competition. SGS was founded in 2009 by combining the programs of Schenectady Rowing, Guilderland rowing and Scotia Glenville Rowing. SGS Rowing serves middle school and high school student athletes. SGS founding organizations have also run community learn to row programs, and summer learn to row and swim programs for disadvantaged youth. While SGS is a newly formed organization, the precursor programs have been active for 10 years prior to the merger.
